LERCO Meeting – April 2025
From April 1 to 4, 2025, a professional meeting of the Life Environment Research Center Ostrava (LERCO 4HAIE Program 4) will take place at the City Campus of the University of Ostrava. The event will focus on presenting the results of the LERCO 4HAIE project and workshops on new methods and grant applications related to physical activity and health in industrial regions.
The meeting will feature workshops, expert presentations, and discussions with Czech and international specialists in biomechanics, sports science, medicine, and physiotherapy. A key topic will be the LERCO 4HAIE data, its processing, analysis, and application in both research and practical fields.
The program includes:
- SHIFT Workshop, introducing participants to the use of Sift software for large-scale biomechanics data analysis
- Presentation of key results from the LERCO 4HAIE project, including topics such as injury prevention in runners, air pollution and health, and healthy aging
- Discussion on grant opportunities, including funding possibilities from US NSF and HORIZON programs
A social evening will also be part of the event, providing an opportunity for informal networking and experience sharing.
