Structural Dynamics of Lipid Model Systems and Thylakoid Membranes

On February 21 – 23, 2024, an international Workshop on “Structural Dynamics of Lipid Model Systems and Thylakoid Membranes” was held. In addition to members of the Biophysics group, this Workshop was attended by colleagues from Palacký University in Olomouc, the Institute Laue-Langevin in Grenoble, France, Leiden University, Amsterdam, The Netherlands and Vrije University, Amsterdam, The Netherlands, as well as from several scientific research facilities in Hungary and the USA.

The aim of the workshop was primarily to connect scientists with a potential overlap for cooperation – the main topic of discussion were lipid systems, which are an absolutely key element of the structure of every living organism, but also synthetic lipid systems, which in recent years have received more and more attention for example from drug manufacturers.

We can already say that the Workshop achieved its goal – it brought new collaborations, the linking of workplaces, and therefore it will certainly contribute to new knowledge in the future.

This Workshop was supported by the LERCO project nr. CZ.10.03.01/00/22_003/0000003
