LERCO presented at the European Week, Regions and Cities conference in Brussels

At the beginning of October, the University of Ostrava participated in the 21st European Week, Regions and Cities conference, the largest annual event dedicated to cohesion policy in Brussels. In the session entitled "Harness the potential, RESTART the region", Ondřej Slach, Vice-Rector of the University of Ostrava, spoke about the LERCO project. He also focused on identifying the main problems in the region that the LERCO project helps to solve, as well as contributing to the transformation of the region through its activities.

In the session "Connecting the dots: complementarities between the three pillars of the Just Transition Mechanism", Zdeněk Karásek, Commissioner of the Governor of the Moravian-Silesian Region for RESTART and Coal Regions in Transition, spoke. He described the broader context of the problems of the Moravian-Silesian region. He also focused on the implementation of the Just Transition Found support programme in the national environment within the framework of the Just Transition Operational Programme - he also introduced the participants to the LERCO project as one of the first running strategic projects.
